All veterans are invited to an Ice Cream Social, ice cream donated by Corn Hill Creamery, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Veterans Outreach Center. All veterans must present a DD214 or VA ID card and have had at least one day of active duty.

JEFF TYZIK AND THE ROCHESTER PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
HONOR: PORTRAITS OF AMERICA CD RELEASE PARTY
The Rochester Philharmonic, Bank of America, and Veterans Outreach Center are hosting a reception to celebrate the release of the CD, Honor: Portraits of America, by Jeff Tyzik and the RPO on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Veterans Outreach Center.
This is an exclusive opportunity to purchase your CD before it is released to the public. Jeff Tyzik and members of the orchestra will be on hand to sign CD's. A percentage of the sales will be donated to VOC.
95.1 FM THE FOX MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND KICK-OFF
95.1 fm The FOX will be broadcasting on site at Veterans Outreach Center's STARS & STRIPES The Flag Store at 455 South Avenue, Rochester, NY, on Friday, May 23, 2008, from 6 - 11 a.m. to kick-off the Memorial Day weekend.
They will be taking short video messages that they'll e-mail to your loved ones. Clix Studios also will be on site taking picutres to send to your loved ones overseas.
HIKE FOR HEROES
On May 31, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., a walkathon will be held at Gates-Chili Middle School and High School, 910 Wegman Road, Rochester 14624.
All proceeds will be donated to help fund programs at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc. and will be presented to VOC on June 10th. For more information email:

FLAG DAY WEEKEND – June 13TH, 14TH (FLAG DAY), 15TH
Volunteers are needed to remind the public about this patriotic holiday by offering handheld American flags in exchange for contributions that support
the programs and services of the Veterans Outreach Center. The VOC
is looking for corporate sponsors and individual volunteers to help with this
special event; groups (schools, Scouts, etc.) are welcome. Many shifts (typically 2 to 3 hours) and locations (city, suburban, etc.) are available. Please contact us at 546-1081 if you or your company

The National Veterans Job Expo 2008, sponsored by Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., will be held Wednesday, September 24th, 2008, from 2 - 6 p.m. at the Eisenhart Auditorium at the Rochester Museum & Science Center, 657 East Avenue, Rochester, NY.
All military service veterans who are looking for employment are invited to meet local and national employers. Bring your military separation / discharge document, if available.
